STM Religion Bee

For the thrid year in a row and among many other activities, we have had a Religion Bee during Catholic Schools Week.  Third through 8th grade stduents are given questions about our faith in the classroom and those winners compete with winners from the other classrooms.  This year's Religion Bee winner is Taylor Jannusch!

Quarter 2 Academic Awards & Person of Faith Award

STM School is proud to announce the 2nd quarter academic award and Person of Faith recepients.  These awards will be given to the students after Mass on Tuesday, January 31st during Catholic Schools Week.

8th Grade Boys Basketball Results

Congratulations to our 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team!  Over the January 21st-22nd weekend the boys played their best of the 18-3 season!  They finished 1st in the Tri-County regular conference season and 2nd in the conference tournament.  In May, they will recieve a banner that will be unveiled in the gym at Sports Night.

PK 4 Year Old Program News!

I am pleased to announce the following for next school year:  Our 4 year old program will be offered full days, 5 days per week!  This will be a full academic program with emphasis on Religion, pre-Reading and Math following the Rockford Diocese Curriculum Standards.  An announcement outlining the entire program, tuition & fees will be availalbe soon. 

Your are welcome to our open house Sunday, January 29th, 1-2pm or Saturday, February 4, 10am -noon at St. Edward High School's gym.

Catholic Schools Week Activities

The theme for this year's Catholic Schools Week is:  Catholic Schools:  A Community of Faith, Knowledge and Service".

Listed below are the activities that focus on this theme, which take place during this celebrated week.

Sunday, January 29: Noon Mass; 1-2pm Open House and 1-4pm Fun Fair in the school. Public invited.

Monday, January 30: Students bring in toiletries for the Crisis Center; bake cookies for local our local fire department house, police department and State Police.  Cookies are delivered.
