Catholic Schools Week - Communities of Faith, Knowledge & Service

Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States during the last week of January.  St. Thomas More's focus is on the value of Catholic education for our children and the contributions such an education brings to our church, our communities, and our nation.

Listed below are some of the activites the school will focus on during this important week:

Classes Resume

Classes will resume Monday, January 12th.

Thank you!

On behalf of the teachers and staff of the school, I wish to thank ALL the volunteer parents that provided the fun and treats for the classroom Christmas parties!  The children had such a good time.

Also, thank you to the parents who helped Miss Kathy and Mrs. Sue prepare for the PK & Kindergarten Christmas program and parties that followed.  The program was adorable.

Student Golden Apple Award

The STM Environment Committee, consisting of teachers, recently instituted an award program to "catch" students "being a reflection of Christ's actions" by being:

1.  Friendly to all adults.

2.  Polite in the hallway.

3.  Nice to someone, making them feel welcome and respected.

4.  Helpful to others in class.

5.  Watchful of school property, clean and neat, inside and out.

6.  Careful with the playground and gym equipment.

7.  Considerate toward others inside and outside of school.

Parent Survey

All families should have received an invitation via e-mail asking that you complete a survey found on your parent portal page on School Speak.  This survey is an important component of our school evaluation, which is scheduled for late February 2015.  Your valued input will provide the school staff information where the school excels and where improvement needs to be addressed in short- and long-term planning.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
